The sweltering heat blanketing Ho Chi Minh City over the past week has forced locals to turn to unconventional solutions to shield themselves from the scorching sun.

People dressed like ninja to deal with the scorching sun in Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Temperatures in Ho Chi Minh City and several southern provinces have hovered around 35 degrees Celsius for the past few weeks, with readings expected to top 39 degrees Celsius in the coming days and linger well into next month.

Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper traveled around the city to see how locals are dealing with the hot weather.
